A creator brand-deal report that earns a useful next conversation
Give a sponsor a clear account of what shipped, what people did and what remains unknown. Download an editable report with evidence and renewal prompts.
A folder of screenshots is not much of a campaign conclusion. The brand still has to work out what was delivered, whether the numbers cover the same period and what the audience did after watching. That work often lands on the person deciding whether to book you again.
Use this editable report to make that decision easier. It is built around a fictional partnership for a camera-bag demonstration, with no invented performance results. The aim is a concise account that a marketing manager can understand and pass to a colleague.
Begin with the decision the campaign was meant to support
Write the original objective in a sentence. In our fictional example, the brand wanted potential buyers to understand how a compact camera bag holds a day’s filming equipment. The intended next step was visiting the product information page. That is more precise than calling the campaign an awareness-and-sales initiative after it ends.
Keep the agreed reporting period beside the objective. A screenshot taken after two days should not be compared casually with another taken after two weeks. If the brief did not set a review date, state the period you used and discuss it with the brand before treating it as a standard.
The creator campaign brief is the companion document to fill in before the work starts. A report should reconnect to those commitments rather than retroactively choosing the metrics that look best.
Make it easy to verify what shipped
List each deliverable with its live address, publication time and any relevant revision. A Reel and a LinkedIn post are separate records even if they use the same source footage. Include the final caption or approved version where that helps someone check the agreement.
For the camera-bag example, the record might contain one Instagram demonstration and one product-detail carousel. If a scheduled post was delayed, record when it actually appeared and why. Reporting an exception clearly is more useful than silently removing it from the list.
Keep an accessible copy of temporary material and the evidence needed to review it. Organize the folder by deliverable, not by whatever filenames came from your phone. A future teammate should be able to find the relevant asset without opening twenty near-identical screenshots.
Asset record
Identify the format, account, live URL, publication date and approved version. Give each deliverable a short, stable name.
Evidence record
Name the source of each screenshot or export and the date it was captured. Preserve metric labels instead of relabelling them for a nicer slide.
Exception record
State any missed date, unavailable metric, broken destination or correction, followed by the action taken and its current status.
Keep viewing, intent and sales in different rows
The report needs a clear distinction between distribution and business outcomes. Views show that content was displayed or watched under the source platform’s definition. A resource request shows a particular action. A confirmed purchase needs evidence from the relevant sales system.
Do not add every platform’s audience count and label the result unique people. A person may see more than one post or channel. When you cannot deduplicate, describe the figures separately or label a total precisely enough that nobody mistakes it for a unique audience.
If the Instagram campaign uses Auto DM, keep requested replies and product-page visits apart. The Auto DM measurement guide explains the journey. Brand-side purchases may remain unknown until the brand supplies a matching report; leave that cell unavailable, not zero.
Explain what the audience wanted to know
Numbers often need a small amount of qualitative context. In the fictional camera-bag campaign, useful categories might be laptop fit, tripod storage and whether the bag works as a daily carry. These are example categories, not observations from a real campaign.
In your actual report, group the questions you received and explain how many messages you reviewed. Keep the audience’s wording accurate if you quote it, and remove unnecessary identifiers. Do not turn a couple of comments into a sweeping claim about all buyers.
Separate an observation from your interpretation. “Several reviewed comments asked about a sixteen-inch laptop” describes what you saw. “A follow-up fit demonstration could answer that question” is a proposal. The second sentence is stronger when the reader can inspect the evidence behind the first.
Make the renewal proposal smaller and more specific
Finish with one next test, tied to the campaign’s evidence. For the fictional example, the proposal is a close-up fit demonstration with the same product destination. It answers a concrete buying question and can be scoped without promising a particular increase in sales.
Name the new deliverable, what will change and how you will evaluate it. Keep the production quote and commercial terms in their normal approval process. The report explains why the next piece is worth discussing; it does not treat a recommendation as an accepted new assignment.
If the original campaign had an unresolved problem, address it before pitching more volume. A clear destination, working product availability and readable offer may matter more than another Reel. Explain the dependency so the brand can help fix it.
Create the evidence folder when the campaign begins
Save approved copy, live links and dated evidence as you go. Give the brand a report date and a list of information you will need from them. This prevents the final day from becoming a search through messages for a missing product URL or an approval nobody can find.
vkit can support the production and response workflow: prepare content, publish to supported accounts and use Instagram Auto DM for the requested handoff. Pro includes unlimited contacts without per-contact charges. The report itself still needs your judgement and records from the systems holding each result.
When describing that setup to a partner, use the precise status: vkit is a Meta Tech Provider. Keep the connection fact separate from campaign performance. The sponsor should leave knowing what happened, what you learned and what you would test next.
Frequently asked questions
What should I send a brand after a creator campaign?
Send a concise report with the objective, delivered assets, live links, dated performance evidence, useful audience feedback and a recommendation. Identify information you could not access instead of filling those gaps with estimates presented as facts.
Can I report sales if the brand has not shared its sales data?
Only report sales you can actually substantiate through the agreed measurement method. When the necessary brand-side data is unavailable, say so. Clicks, comments and private replies should not be relabelled as purchases.
Is the free template a report generated automatically by vkit?
No. It is an editable working template that you complete using your evidence. vkit supports content and Instagram automation workflows; this article does not promise automatic sponsor reporting or access to a brand’s sales system.

Make the next conversation easy to start
Download the report, complete it with evidence from one actual campaign and identify one useful next test. A clear account of the work gives a brand something concrete to review when considering another collaboration.
