User data deletion
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. This page explains how to ask, what gets deleted, and how long it takes.
Last updated: July 17, 2026 · 18083690 Canada Inc. (o/a Vkit)
How to request deletion
If you have a Vkit account — email us at team@vkit.app with the subject “Data deletion request” from the email on your account, and we’ll delete your account and its data.
By email, for anyone — write to team@vkit.app with the subject “Data deletion request”. Tell us the Instagram handle you used, so we can find the right records. You do not need an account to ask.
If you only want to disconnect Instagram
Disconnecting your Instagram account from Vkit stops all automation immediately. The audience data collected through it is deleted within 90 days, without you having to ask separately.
What gets deleted
Everything we hold that identifies you: your account and profile, your Instagram connection and its access tokens, your automations and their message content, the contacts and replies they collected, and your page content.
| Data | When it goes |
|---|---|
| Your account information | Deleted 90 days after your account is closed |
| Messages and comments handled by your automations | Deleted 90 days after the interaction |
| Contacts, tags, and collected replies | Deleted with the workspace they belong to |
| Delivery logs and telemetry | 12 months |
| Security and abuse logs | 12 months |
| Billing records | Kept 7 years, as Canadian tax law requires |
| Aggregate, de-identified analytics | Kept indefinitely — it cannot be linked back to you |
Two things we cannot delete on request, and it is fairer to say so than to promise otherwise: billing records, which Canadian tax law requires us to keep for seven years, and aggregate analytics that carry no identifier and cannot be traced back to any person.
How long it takes
We respond to every request within 30 days, free of charge. Deletion propagates across our systems and backups within that window. Where we are required by law to keep something, we will tell you what and why rather than quietly keeping it.
